Chevra Tehillim

The words of the Tehillim (Psalms) are unique in their power to inspire and connect us to G-d. They are pathways through which we can find solace, hope, and elevation, in times of joy and times of sadness.

Moreover, the Chassidic Masters teach that reciting Tehillim has the power to annul decrees in Heaven Above even after they have been finalized (“signed”).

At Anshei Lubavitch we observe the practice of gathering on each Shabbos mevorchim (the Shabbos before the Jewish month begins) to recite the entire Tehillim before davening. We do the same as well on Yom Kipper Eve and Hoshana Rabba.
